Geocache Description:

This cache has been set up in memory of Monty, a very enthusiastic Geo Dog, on the route of his favourite walk.

Monty was a black Labrador/Springer cross who thoroughly enjoyed geocaching in the last years of his life. As well as fetching sticks, eating, barking, and trying to get people to throw sticks for him, he also enjoyed hunting for geocaches. The thing that always puzzled him was why none of the butty boxes he found ever contained anything to eat!

We would like to encourage as many Geo Dogs as possible to visit this cache, and to arrange for their human companion(s) to post their photograph on the log. If they would care to tell us a bit about their Geo Doggy Adventures that'd be great. Sorry there's nothing to eat in the box, but if you're lucky, you might just find one of Monty's lost sticks!

The round trip from the suggested parking is approximately a mile in total, mainly on a good track, with a short walk through the heather to the cache itself.
