Geocache Description:

Considering all the time they put into placing fun caches for others to find, it's amazing that G.O. John and Carol have had time to find 5000 caches, but they have found 5000 and this is their commemorative cache.
The tradition of hiding commemorative caches was started in Chicagoland by Special Ed and Fallen Fairy and still continues, carried on by local cachers honoring their friends.

The GO's have carried on that tradition by placing commemorative hides for (among others) LinDave, LostLinda, GeoRon, and tjbrr.

GOJAC are the first cachers I met 'on the trail'. They were very friendly, welcoming and helpful then and they still are today.
Anyone who spends a lot of time 'out west' knows how much more the G.O.s have contributed to the caching community. They have over 350 hides and I'm pretty sure no household object is safe from their imagination and variable sense of humor. (Sometimes the cache is witty and sometimes it's almost as bad as one of Badlands' jokes and sometimes it's fiendish.)
To celebrate their finds and thank them for their hides we created this container--one side a tribute to their popular 'Dine and Hide' series and one side is covered in smilies (with a couple DNF frowns) for all the fun they've given us all. Even the swag is smilie themed!
GO John and Carol, congratulations, thanks for the fun and the caches!
