A Snappy View Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Lostboy1966: The last cache I retired today. Everything was still nice, shiny, and hesitation-inducing inside. Cool.
It’s really a shame the park management stopped being cacher friendly. Lots of good memories at this place.

Geocache Description:

I have always thought that the most idyllic spot in this park is right at the entrance - where Kettletown Brook courses down to Lake Zoar. Explore the rocky rapids when you have the chance, and you will be rewarded with some pretty snappy views.

In fact, if you find this in a group I'll bet that you will be so enthralled by your surroundings that you will be more than willing to let others in your party retrieve the logbook first while you take in the scenery.

The container (an ammo can) is hidden in a spot overlooking the river. There is a steep ledge nearby, so keep an eye on the young ones. The approach will be quite easy, unless you come at it from the wrong side of the rapids!

Enjoy!

Cache Notes:
Note the Terrain Rating on this hide. There is no need to put yourself in a precarious position in order to retrieve it. You will be within a few feet of a dropoff, but the ground at the cache area is flat and easily approachable. The hint will help with your search if things get bouncy.
