Geocache Description:

Parliament Piece is a single field of 15 acres, a designated local nature reserve with the appearance of parkland. The name, Parliament Piece, originates from the belief that King Henry III (1207-1272) held parliament here in 1266.

Parliament Piece features a mature pond with plenty of aquatic life and some mature broad leaf trees. This nature reserve is managed as a hay meadow and has an abundance of flora, it is cared for under a management agreement with Warwick District Council and Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, and has open access. Please observe the Country Code, keep dogs on a lead and follow the marked paths to avoid disturbing wildlife. Please avoid trampling the grass as this is cut for hay.

Recommended parking is in Tainters Hill. There is an entrance to this nature reserve opposite the bus stop on the main Kenilworth to Coventry road (A429), please take care when crossing.

Please be sure to replace this cache exactly where found.

This cache is placed with thanks to the land owners, the Open Spaces Society and the land managers, Warwick District Council and Warwickshire Wildlife Trust for granting permission for this cache.
