Geocache Description:

An evening get-together for all geocachers in the west of Cornwall, plus any itinerants in the area (like us!)

The Blorenges will be on one of their regular visits to Penwith during this week and we thought it would be good to meet up with cachers in the area. We both know Penzance well - it's MrsB's hometown - and we've enjoyed doing many caches in the locality.

The plan is to meet up in the Morrab Gardens from 5.30 - 6.30pm for geocaching chit chat and exchanges of TBs and geocoins. Then we'll walk out along the Promenade for a bite to eat at The Dolphin Tavern to continue the socialising.

Latest update 19th June: I've increased our booking number at the Dolphin Tavern to "around 28".
The following folk have confirmed they would like to come along for the meal: St Erth Cachers (2), Defective Detectives (2), Penwith Pirates (3), Snowberry (4), SusieMerlin (2), Redruth Roamers (1), Nawtcher (1), GreenDragon68 (1), 1887 (1), Stonken (2), Sarlander (1), MaverickandGoose (1), NeilHero (2), Blorenges (2), Cornish Tyke (3).

More info re. the Dolphin Tavern menu can be seen on their website here."

Something to be aware of... I've just discovered that on Tuesday evening Chapel St (that runs from the town centre down towards the Dolphin) will be closed to traffic because there will be some Golowan festival things happening there. No doubt the whole area will be quite busy.

A thought... We always wear a tag with our caching name/real name on it when we go to events. As we'll only know about 4 of you, it would be great if you'd consider sticking a self-adhesive name label or something on yourselves so that we have a better chance of remembering everyone at the end of the evening!

I've now had the "box of bits" from GeoTees delivered to me and a couple of people have emailed me to ask what's in it, so for more details please look here.
