Stocking Creek Falls Traditional Cache

A simple cache at Stocking Creek Park waterfall.
Stocking Creek Park is a wonderful CVRD park in Saltair. They recently added stairs and viewing platform down to Stocking Falls, this with the bridge over Stocking Creek, trail upgrading and installation of flora & fauna signage has mostly been done by volunteers.
The park can be accessed from both North and South ends with a main trail that runs between both.
One of the hidden sights off the main trail is the Stocking Creek Waterfall and this is where I have placed the cache.
The North entrance/parking is at the end of Finch Plc. which is off Gait Rd. that is off Chemainus Rd.
The South entrance/parking is not well marked, it's a gravel road/driveway, accessed off Chemainus Rd. I have added the waypoints for both parking areas below. There are picnic tables and restrooms at South entrance.
You can get to the falls by taking the Stocking Falls trail off the main trail that runs along West side of creek
The Falls trail can be slippery in wet weather but a lot better now that they have worked on it and added stairs.
I have removed the coordinates to lower/east to the falls as it would require crossing over creek to get to cache but if you enjoy light hiking it and few other trails in park are an enjoyable walk. The some sections west main trail parallel the Trans Canada Trail along railway which adds another way to access the park.
The cache is a sandwich size Lock n Lock hidden near stairs to viewing platform.
