Geocache Description:

I recently taught our homeschool science club about geocaching and placed this one here for them to find on our upcoming field trip to the Rio Grande Nature Center area for some real life geocaching! The cache name has nothing to do w/ the cache itself - the kids in the science club named the cache w/ scientific terms.

Cache container: log book and small tradeables. BYOP. Should be enough room for smaller TB's. This is a kid friendly stroll thru the bosque. Happy Caching!

Also, look for the other one we hid nearby today - "Squirtle Lake".

Restrooms and water fountain inside the really nice Rio Grande Nature Center. Even if you don't need the facilities, it's worth it to wander thru the center for educational purposes.

Update: I've been told by every family who participated in the unit study and the field trip that they are planning to purchase a GPSr and start geocaching! Their kids loved it, so we may have many more kiddos out in the geocaching community over the summer!
