Step Up
This is the seventh cache on our Ashby Round series. A nice walk along well defined public footpaths from Ashby De La Zouch….Although a map would be useful at times as a lot of paths intersect in some areas.
Parking at tescos supermarket take the exit from the rear of the car park and walk up the A511 for a short while you will see the footpath sign on the opposite side of road. Alternatively carry on walking a little further up the road and there is a subway under the road if you would rather not cross the road which can get busy at certain times of the day.
Collect the clues from some of the caches (there are six clues which you will need to complete the series) and follow the instructions you will find in one of the caches. All the clues are written at the beginning of the logs so be vigilant! Some of the caches are hard some easy and some may require you to think a little but do not let this put you off. It is anticipated that some people may DNF a few as some of the caches require a bit of caching skill (we think!).
Hints are few and far between and only used where GPS coverage may be compromised or that we feel stealth and speed is required. The only other help is each cache has a photograph of the general area available if you need it.
Please rehide exactly as found so that future cachers can have the same caching experience and to reduce chance of muggling…As this area can be popular with walkers stealth is required at times.
