JOE EXIT 14
The JOE cache series was started by altosaxplayer, a member of the Tri-Cities Geocachers.
The name JOE means "Just Off Exit".
This series was started as an Interstate 68 equivalent to the "Loop to Loop" and I-81 cache series that was started in Nashville TN by cgeek.
The JOE caches are placed no more than two tenths of a mile from the exit and the hint is a dead give away to the cache location. JOE caches are an easy way to pick up more cache finds while traveling.
This will be Number Six of our Maryland I 68 JOE series.
When planning our trips we always struggle with which caches really will be quick grabs and which may end as disasters and getting lost in an unfamiliar city.
This cache is meant as a quick grab for those traveling through the area and a nice fast smiley for those that already live here. Copied from VWDave's caches in VA and scrubjsm in Wv
Now for the cache search
If you ask my youngest son what is his favorite place to eat, you’ll end up at this cache location. So as I went by here, I couldn’t resist placing this cache.
This cache is ** TRUCKER and RV FRIENDLY**, so the next time your near Exit 14 along I-68 take the Exit toward 40 West and locate this Quick cache and dash. Limited Parking for that Big Rig at this Stop, as well as RV possibilities.
You will find this Small sized cache at the Intersection of 219 South and US Route 40, on the North side of I 68.
Easily accessed from the West Bound side but accessible from either direction.
It's a quick grab not far from the highway, and easy to get right back on afterwards.
This very busy location will require Stealth.
Inside you will find a log, stash note, pencil and some small swag. There is room for small trade items as well. This cache is attached, unscrew bottom and replace as found.
*** Congrats to KG8GN for the FTF !!! ***
