Geocache Description:

A camoed 35mm film canister, not in a pine tree.

When standing at GZ you are just north of the National Microbiology Laboratory. It is the only level four biosafety lab in Canada (one was built a decade ago in Ontario, but community opposition prevented it from ever opening, and a Toronto hospital has a floor that is capable, but never activated). In the world there are less than 40 labs with a level 4 rating (officially about 15), meaning they can study, and, at the same time, keep the population safe from, the deadliest of all viruses. It was our lab here in Winnipeg that discovered the exact type of flu coming from Mexico (Swine flu / A H1N1) that started the present pandemic fears. The Mexican Air Force has made a number of flights here to drop off samples for testing. If a vaccine is to be made, these folks will be on the front line of creating it.

The facility has multiple CCTV cameras, and you can be sure that they are watching you if you get any closer to the property. You don't need to cross the fence onto the vacant lot. This is probably not a good cache for those with paranoid tendencies.
