Geocache Description:

Old Whippany River cache is located at The Frelinghuysen Arboretum.

This 127 acre park includes many beautiful formal gardens and walking trails throughout the forest and meadows. The Arboretum is open all year to enjoy the changing seasons. Trail maps are available in the Education Center.The grounds are open 8am to Dusk.

The Frelinghuysen Arboretum is home to the Morris County Park Commission Headquarters, located in the Colonial Revival Mansion. This beautiful English Country Estate is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places.

Please follow the trail which will lead you right to the cache along the river, no need to buschwack.
