Geocache Description:


This cache is located on property that was once owned by Floyd Rogers & was purchased from him in 2000 by the Oregon Fish & Wildlife using funds that had been earmarked to promote hunting for youth & the conservation of wildlife & their habitat. If you look closely, you will be able to see where a house once stood. Please treat the property with respect & leave only footprints.
This is a puzzle cache that will try your patience. It is loosley based on a simple trap to catch a monkey. If you are somewhat destructive & lack patience, this puzzle is not for you. I spent a lot of time making this contraption so please be gentle with it so I don't have to repair or rebuild it. NO FORCE IS NECESSARY TO SOLVE THIS PUZZLE & NO TOOLS ARE NEEDED. The only thing needed is the combination & it is locked inside the cache. You have to figure out how to get the combination out so you can open the lock & sign the log. If you or your monkey are careful & shake the puzzle gently, you will be able to hear the tiny container holding the combination. There is also a film canister holding the log so you will hear it also as it rattles around with the combination container. No trade items in the cache please. Initially, the only item besides the key & the film canister is a prize for the FTF. I hope you have fun with this one & that you don't become too frustrated.
