Geocache Description:

The impressive formation of columnar basalt in my cache, Devils Postpile North, seems to have deposited some "offspring" in the surrounding landscape.

This is a two-stage multi and a pleasant short walk in the forest over rolling hills. You will end up at a boulder which has all the features of its large "parent" and shows the angular, columnar form of basalt rock. This one and others nearby were likely deposited by glacial ice. Park at N 50 37.389 W 119 57.021, south of the cattle guard, no need to cross any fences.
