Another very nice view over the lower Hunter.
WARNING: CACHE IS LOCATED CLOSE TO UNFENCED CLIFFS - TAKE EXTREME CARE.
Just a short walk, less than 10 minutes from the communications towers on Broken Back will bring you to a rocky outcrop that commands a panoramic view over the lower Hunter Valley.
The condition of the road to the towers varies but I was able to get Commadorus Rex III all the way to the towers without any difficulty, just slowing in a few of the rough spots.
The short walk is very scenic taking you down a spur that has some really nice rock formations and a great variety of Aussie vegetation.
Take care with the young ones as there are a lot of unguarded cliffs and high places allong the way and in particular near the cache.
There is a walking track all the way but you sometimes have to look very carefully to follow it.
The cache is a larger ex-ammo container.
