Cheesden Brook 10, is a small geocache located in the Cheesden Valley.
Cheesden Brook rises on the slopes of Scout Moor and then flows down stream until it meets the River Naden and the combined watercourse flows into the River Roch. On its journey it goes through moorland, and then the Cheesden Valley. The valley is one of the hidden gems of Lancashire. In years gone by it was busy with industry and there were plenty of mills in its depths, though now nature has taken over again.
The cache sits near to the footpath which leads down through woodland to the Ashworth Road. From the footpath which goes through woodland and then farmland you get views across to Heywood and Bury.
Near here the brook joins with Naden Brook and then flows into the Roch.
Please be careful when getting to where the footpath meets Ashworth Road as it can be a busy road.
The footpath does initially go uphill and the path can be muddy and slippy.
