Maar.... de ideeen voor een nieuwe zijn al in de maak, dus misschien binnekort weer een mooie in de binnenstad!

Historisch Gouda / Historical Gouda

Gouda, een stad herrezen in drassig gebied bedekt met moerasbossen, waarvan in de oorkonde van de Bisschop van Utrecht voor het eerst in 1139 melding wordt gemaakt. In het midden van de 13e eeuw wordt Kasteel van Gouda gesticht voor het beschermen van de haven, en in 1272 worden er door Graaf Floris V stadsrechten verleent.

Gouda, a city resurrected in swampy area covered with swamp forests, mentioned in the charter of the Bishop of Utrecht for the first time in 1139 is included. In the middle of the 13th century Castle of Gouda founded to protect the port, and in 1272 are by Count Floris V city rights.

Hierin bevindt zich een van de oudste gotische stadhuizen van Nederland, en de Grote of Sint-Janskerk, welke behoort tot de top 100 der Nederlandse UNESCO-monumenten.

Deze Multi cache voert je door het oude stadscentrum van Gouda. Onderweg zal je zowel bekende als minder bekende gebouwen van Gouda tegenkomen. In de meeste gevallen zal bij het historisch pand een ANWB bordje meer over de geschiedenis van desbetreffende pand vermelden. Neem er de tijd voor en ontdek zo meer over Gouda’s geschiedenis.
De startlocatie is bij het oude Gotische stadhuis op de markt, midden in het centrum van Gouda. Rond dit plein zijn voldoende terrasjes, bars en restaurants aanwezig om een goede start te kunnen maken. Verder is het VVV ook aan dit plein gevestigd voor meer informatie over Gouda en zijn omgeving.

This multi-cache takes you through the old city centre of Gouda. On the way known and lesser-known buildings of Gouda encounter. In most cases, an ANWB sign is placed at the historical building to tell you more about the history of relevant state building. Take the time to discover more about where Gouda's history.
The starting location is at the old Gothic town hall on the market in the centre of Gouda. Around the square are plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants to a good start can make. Even the Tourist Office is located at this square to give you more information about Gouda and his surroundings.

Wat moet je doen?
In het oude centrum zijn 10 nano-items aangebracht, welke alleen een code bevatten. Deze code bestaat uit een LETTER en een GETAL. In de tabellen hiernaast kan met behulp van deze combinatie het volgende waypoint bepaald worden.

Voorbeeld: Gevonden code = B6, volgens de tabel zijn de coördinaten dan: N 52°00.713' E 004°42.645'

Bij het laatste item wordt de combinatie gevonden welke de coördinaten van de eindlocatie weergeven.

Alle items zijn identiek van vorm en formaat, en als je de 1e gevonden hebt, weet je ook hoe de rest eruit ziet.

What should you do?
In the old centre 10 nano-items are placed, which contains a code. This code consists of a LETTER and a NUMBER. You can use this combination with the tables at the left, to find the next waypoint. At the last item the combination tell the coordinates of the final location.

Example: Code found = B6, according to the table the coordinates should be: N 52°00.713' E 004°42.645'

All items are identical in shape and size, and if you've found the 1st, you know how the rest looks like.

Aandachtspunten
  • Vooral de eerste waypoints liggen in een druk stukje Gouda. Zorg ervoor dat het zoeken naar de items met de code niet te opvallend is. Probeer ongezien de items te pakken en te herplaatsen.
  • Herplaats de items en de cache exact op dezelfde positie als je deze hebt gevonden.
  • Het gehele centrum is betaald parkeren, of alleen voor vergunninghouders. Wanneer je met de auto komt, parkeer deze dan bijvoorbeeld op een van de hieronder aangegeven parkeerplaatsen.
  • Deze cache kan niet gedaan worden met de auto. Lopend of op de fiets kan wel, al moet op sommige plaatsen met de fiets aan de hand gelopen worden.
  • Op donderdag en zaterdag is er de week-markt rond het oude stadhuis. Verder is er in het toeristenseizoen, een extra markt en kaasmarkt op de woensdag (raadpleeg de site van de VVV Gouda voor meer details). Het is dan extra druk met mensen rond de waypoints!
  • Ouders, let op uw kinderen bij de eindlocatie!

Issues
  • The first waypoints are placed in a busy part of Gouda. Make sure that the search for the items with the code is not obvious. Try unseen to grab and replace the items.
  • Place the items and the cache exactly at the same position as you have found.
  • The entire center is paid parking, or for licensees. If you come by car, parking it on one of the parking spaces below listed below.
  • This cache can not be done by car. On foot or bicycle can. At some parts of the track, you should walk in stead of cycling.
  • On Thursday and Saturday is the weekly market around the old town hall. There is in the tourist season, an extra market on Wednesday and cheese (see the website of the Tourist office of Gouda for more details). It is extra busy with people around the waypoints!
  • Parents, watch your children at the end location!
