In 2006 I put my first cache in this spot, and some bad critters
chewed it up.
I replaced it with a second one in 2008, and it took less than a
year before logs started saying that the hide needed
maintenance.
When I made it out for a check I found the box damaged, and
other components in need of work. So much for a quick field repair.
I located all of the pieces of the hide and stuffed them into my
backpack. 'Nothing is easy!' I swore to myself as I hiked
back towards my car, frustrated about what to do next. But I have
as much determination as that old tree. I knew that I could build a
new cache if I put my mind to it.
This is what I came up with. Have fun, stay determined, and
remember: nothing is easy...
Cache Notes:
As with its predecessors, this cache container is locked. In order
to open it you will have to locate the correct key. There are
four seperate keys hidden nearby, all within 10 feet or so
of the container. Each key is inside of a plastic matchstick
holder, but they are camouflaged in various ways to blend into the
area. Please take special care not to disturb the natural
surroundings during your hunt, and replace any object(s)
searched exactly as found.
Enjoy!
