WM9 - V.3 Leftover Fences Multi-Cache

Cindypray: Came out for cache maintenance. Stage 2 was missing. I removed stage 1, and did not find the container for stage 2 with a 40' search of the area.

I'm archiving this cache to make room for the Metropark Geocaching Adventure Game for 2010. Need to make room for the Wolcott entry for the game.

Geocache Description:

Leftover fences are a reminder that a boundary once existed. When
the boundary no longer matters then we are left with rusty and
twisted remnants. Here is the 2009 version of Wolcott Mill Left
over fences.

This cache is located within Wolcott Mill Metropark, a part of the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority park system. For general information, visit their website at metroparks.com. All park rules and regulations apply. Park in parking lots only.

CLOSED EVERY MONDAY AND TUESDAY-ALL YEAR

APRIL-DEC. OPEN: WED.-SUNDAYS

9 am to 5 pm Wednesday through Sunday, November through April

The Mill, its grain grinding machinery and exhibits offer a rare look at our past. Mills like this one once dotted Michigan's countryside. Today, only a few remain. Built in 1847, the Mill operated until 1967. Interpretive staff give tours by appointment, and conduct programs on most weekends throughout the year.
