This cache is located on property once homesteaded by a Finn, the
cabin is nothing more than a pile of rubble now, but the property
is maintained by the City and Borough of Juneau as a park and view
spot.
The well maintained stairs lead to a great place to photograph the
port of Juneau and document your cruise ship trip to Southeast
Alaska.
While we were checking the area, a Juneau Trolley Car stopped for a
5 minute photo (and now caching) opportunity. I have never ridden
the Juneau Trolley Car
Company but it would be a convenient way to access this cache
and other points of interest in downtown Juneau. The Trolley Car
Company charges $19 for adults and $9 for children for an unlimited
rides day pass. Another, more frugal, transit method is the
City
bus. On the Douglas bound bus it would be less than 10 minutes
from the main street stop; get off at David Street.
