Geocache Description:

Lock and lock clear container with red gasket, containing some cool goodies. Lottery ticket for the FTF.

This cache is in honor of the life and ultimate sacrifice of CWO Paul J.
Pillen, US Army, taps 17 October 2005, Kuwait. More can be
found out about CWO Pillen here: http://projects.washingtonpost.com/fallen/dates/2005/oct/17/paul-j-pillen/
Please take a moment to reflect upon CWO Pillen's sacrifice
and that of all our servicemen and women. A geocoin
honoring Chief Pillen is making its inaugural run in this cache.
Enter the park at the Carlin Avenue entrance (off Sharrotts Rd) and park.
The trailhead is to the left of the ranger station. Follow the
Blue/Yellow trail to where it splits. You'll be in the ballpark there.

One of the reasons I chose the location is that it's a great park to spend
time in. It's muggle free, quiet and you can really forget that you're in
New York City. Go for the cache, stay for the trails.
Among the wildlife you can easily find in the park are deer (yes, deer in NYC), rabbit, bullfrogs, possum, etc..

Permit issued - 2009-SI-001

Trails close at dusk. No dogs allowed, please
