USE THE LOWER LEVEL ONLY!!


Held in celebration of Canadian Environment Week, which is May 31 to June 6, 2009, this Cache In, Trash Out Geocaching event takes place along the old rail line between Bayers Lake and Lovett Lake in Bayers Lake Business Park.

The scope of this cleanup also includes the shorelines of Bayers Lake and Lovett Lake, Black Duck ponds and the rail bed to the highway 103 overpass.

Date: June 6, 2009
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Location: Bayers Lake Business Park

Meet where railbed crosses Horseshoe Lake Dr.

Garbage bags and work gloves will be provided. Please wear suitable footwear, though waders will not be required. Please stay on the shoreline, and not in the water!

We would like to thank the Bayers Lake Business Association, Clean Nova Scotia and Environment Canada for their assistance in making this event possible.

Cet événement, créé pour souligner la Semaine Canadienne de l’Environnement, du 31 mai au 6 Juin 2009, se tiendra le long de l’ancienne voie ferrée entre les lacs Bayers et Lovett, and le parc commercial Bayers Lake.

Ce grand nettoyage incluera aussi les rives des lacs Bayers et Lovett, de l’étang Black Duck ainsi que l’ancienne voie ferrée jusqu’au passage supérieur.

Le lieu de rencontre est à l’intersection de l’ancienne voie ferrée et de Horseshoe Lake Drive.

Des sacs à ordures et des gants de travail seront disponibles. SVP porter des chaussures appropriés, mais des cuissardes ne seront pas nécessaires. Restez sur la rive, et non dans l’eau !
