Prepare for a steep accent.
You start at Galdaneset N61* 29.162 E007* 37.159, aprox 7 meter
above sea level. The walk up to the cache normally takes between 1
to 2 hours, depending on your physical condition.
You have a very nice view of Skjolden, Mørkridsdalen and
Fortundalen all the way up to the cache location. At the cache
location you also have a nice view of the fjord.
The name Vetahovden indicates that in earlier times this
location was used to light a fire in case of great danger or war.
Someone is also calling this place Eidshovden, but that is not
correct. Eidshovden is the name of the place where you first meet
the river on your accent to Vetahovden.
I am visiting the area regularly, and have
arranged with locals to look after the cache when I am
absent.
