Bedlam Cube serie

The Bedlam cube is a solid dissection puzzle invented by Bruce Bedlam. The puzzle consists of thirteen polycubic pieces: twelve pentacubes and one tetracube. The objective is to assemble these pieces into a 4 x 4 x 4 cube. Although this puzzle has an enormous number of solutions, it's a hell of a job to find one!! The solver we have used is freely available and downloadable from the internet. I was curious whether a change in one of the pieces has an effect on the number of solutions. Hence I slightly modified the tetracube in a way you see in the picture below.


Steps to find the cords of this cache:
  • How many solutions has the cube with the modified H piece?
  • Sum all of the 6 digit numbers of the Bedlam Cube caches 1-6.
  • Mutiply these two numbers and add 32044.
  • Last six digits = ABCDEF
  • Location cache: N 51°21.ABC' E 006°02.DEF'
Park your vehicle at the given coordinates and approach the cache. Cache is only accessible during daylight hours.
