Geocache Description:

Dessert in the Desert is a series of 6 caches along Highway 371 celebrating English Desserts. All are located very close to parking pull-outs along the highway.

---Dessert #1 Rock Cakes---
A rock cake is a small cookie or fruit cake with a rough surface, said to resemble a rock. When people think of British baking, they may well think of a monstrous hard rock cake, rejected by even a dog. But even though the name makes for easy mocking, the name is supposed to be for their appearance and not their taste.

Rock cakes are attributed to have their origin in Great Britain by Mrs Beeton in 1861 but are now popular in many parts of the world. Being easy to make, they are also suited for children cooking. They are consumed as cookies or as tea treats. And did you know that rock cakes are one of Harry Potter's favorite tea time treats...

Cache is a camo'd plastic container. Includes a log and pen.
FTF is a leather iPod case.
