Geocache Description:

This cache is not suitable for anybody with mobility problems or for young children. It is a short but quite a challenging walk. The terrain is very uneven and slippery with large rocks, tree stumps, the odd bog and an eroded path to contend with, I would not recommend you try this after heavy rainfall.
Placed with the kind permission of the Forestry Commission.

Please note as soon as you cross the cattle grid from the main road there are sheep wandering on and off the road at will, likewise along the walk to the cache itself. Take care when driving and keep your dog on a lead.

The hunt for this cache may be a good place to introduce the kids to gorge walking on a small scale and see how they go? The cache is placed upstream from the parking place. You need to be walking along the left hand bank, there is a style to be crossed.

I have placed more caches in this area and you could link them together for a circular walk of around 8miles. However, you should be aware that the difficulty rating for the terrain varies from cache to cache hence the separate listings. The other caches in the series thus far are:

• Alum Cave
• The Hermitage
• Twixt Maybeck and Falling Foss
• John Bonds Sheep House
• Valley Views
• Lousy Hill Lane

The cache is a small klick lid box containing a log book, pencil, first to find badge and varied small toys. x
