Geocache Description:

Keer Caper - a short series around the River Keer and the Lancaster Canal near Capernwray and Borwick.

From Borwick Bridleway, continue north until you meet the tracks.  Shortest route is turn right, then left, up to the canal at Hodgson's Bridge.  You may like to visit the small village of Borwick, which has some old buildings, including the Elizabethan manor house built around a defensive Peel Tower.  Various path options - see map pic below.

A handy bench is nearby and you may find boats moored here.  Nice to see water in the canal, and this section below Tewitfield (a mile north) is navigable and connected to the rest of the canal network.   It leads south to Lancaster, Preston and beyond.

Please ensure cache is re-hidden well.
