Geocache Description:

The Hamilton Radial Electric Railway operated between Oakville and Hamilton from 1904 to 1924.

It offered hourly service along the Rebecca / New Street corridor. crossing of the 12 Mile Creek here at Bronte Radial Park. Stops in Oakville included "Ribble's" (Third Line); "McCraney's Corners" (Fourth Line); "Morden's" (Morden Road); and Oakville. The Oakville terminal building still exists and can be seen at the SE corner of Randall and Thomas Streets.

The new crossing of the creek was finished in 2001 and dedicated as the Bronte Radial Bridge in memory of its predecessor. Some of the original footings of the Electric Railway bridge can still be seen below the new bridge.

A 'sculpture' commemorating this part of Oakville history starts on the east side of Bronte Road and continues over to the Fire Hall on the west side of Bronte Road.

This is a 2 stage multi: The first stage is a micro with the coordinates of the final written on it. The final is a large LNL container suitable for trading and trackable items.
