What are negative ions?
Simply answered, negative ions are charged particles that contain
one or more extra electrons, and are created naturally by the sun,
wind, and moving water. A concentration of negative ions, which
occur in places like high altitudes, the beach and waterfalls, help
lift mood, alleviate depression and assist to clean the air of
allergens and pollutants.
This cache is a short distance from the actual waterfalls, about
375 feet. If you park at the suggested coordinates you will walk
right past the wonderful waterfalls twice. The hide is located in a
public access green area. There is no close street parking but you
might park across the street in the cul-de-sac if you don't use the
recommended parking. Enjoy the nice view and the negative ions.
