Geocache Description:

: This cache is located on the grounds of the Milton Historical Society. Cache contents: FTF Prize, Punch Cards, Hole Punch, Log Book and Pen, Historic Images, Historic Background Information, Trade Items (finger puppet, American flag, and toy soldier signature item from OptimallyPrime)

Why Milton? This cache relates to an exhibit currently running (June 4th-November 28th, 2009) called Whales, Weirs and Waterfowl: Delawareans Working on the Water. The history of these waterways and the people they’ve impacted is an incredibly important one to Delaware history. This is one of five caches hidden throughout the state of Delaware related to this exhibition. Historic images and information in this cache focus on Muskrats.

There are punch cards and unique hole punches in each cache box. If you find (and punch your card at) all five caches, you’ll receive 2 for 1 admission to the Delaware History Museum and be entered into a drawing for a free six month family membership. There will be six drawings total (1 each month for the run of the exhibit). Punch cards are first come, first served. They will not be replaced once they are all gone.

There is a first to find prize in this cache. (The FTF prize is the same in all 5 caches) and a few trade items.

This cache is placed on private property with the kind permission of the Milton Historical Society. Please treat the area with the respect it deserves. Nothing has to be taken apart, pulled off, or climbed on. It should be fairly easy to locate. This cache is located outside and there is no admission fee required to find the cache.
