Geocache Description:

A park and short walk cache located just outside a district of Redditch. Cache is easily accessible adjacent to path.

Black Sabbath's 1989 album Headless Cross is reportedly named after Headless Cross in Redditch.

The town's most conspicuous land mark, the modern water tower visible all around the town, is located on high ground in Headless Cross.

From the site of the cache within the clearing, the top of the tower is clearly visible.

Suggested parking at the shoppers carpark nearby: N 052 17.561 W 001 56.805

The original octagonal brick built tower can be seen nearby at N 052 17.620 W 001 56.798 and is arguably more attractive than the concrete mushroom!

The cache is accessible by footpath from the main road or through the woods from Pool Bank or Ashperton Close.

Please use the underpass to cross the road if using the suggested parking space.
