NOTE: THE CACHE IS AT
THE POSTED COORDINATES.
However, to log a valid find on this cache, you
must complete the challenge described herein. For our 200th
milestone hide, we wanted to do something special as a “thank you”
to all those cachers who have hunted for our caches. So, here it
is! OP’s very own alphabet sOuP challenge . . . (A big THANKS! to
solarwib for the idea behind this challenge!)
In
addition to finding this cache and signing the log, you must first
find and log at least 26 other Odyssey Posse caches—each starting
with a different letter of the alphabet (A-Z). We will do our part
to make sure that there are always at least 2 active OP caches
beginning with each letter of the alphabet. For a complete list of
qualifying hides, see the Odyssey Posse Hides bookmark list by
clicking on the User’s Web Page link above (just
below the cache size) or via the link on the right side of the
cache page. To prove your feat, feel free to create a bookmark
list, list your qualifying caches in your log, send me a GSAK file,
etc.
As for
the actual cache, you'll be looking for a matchstick container
hidden in an all-too-familiar way in a busy location just off of
I-64 at the Ferdinand exit. Make sure to be stealthy! The hide
itself is as easy as they get. BYOP.
One
final note about the difficulty/terrain rating: the actual hide
would merit a 1/1.5, but I made this a 4/4 to reflect the overall
challenge. To complete the challenge, you’ll see a lot of Southern
Indiana, might do some off-roading, will probably need to solve a
puzzle or two, may run into a challenging hide or three, could do
an EarthCache, will log a lot of miles . . . But most of all, you
will have fun Geocaching, which is what this challenge is all
about. Logs indicating a lack of fun may be deleted. (No, not
really, but please have fun!) Feel free to note in your log what
your favorite cache or caching experience was. Now get out there
and find some caches!
