Geocache Description:

Micro cache with relatively easy access.

Amateur Radio Direction Finding Hunts are events held frequently throughout the year by local amateur radio enthusiasts. A radio fox hides at an unknown location and, for this hunt, participants gather around Irby Top at a set time on the day of the hunt. The fox then transmits a signal for two minutes whilst participants try to locate the approximate signal direction using their technical skills. The fox then transmits irregularly throughout the event as participants home in.

Amateur radio is enjoyed by many people of all different backgrounds and ages, and if others are interested in finding out more please leave a message on your log.
