Geocache Description:

Vallecito Campground~

One of the prettiest areas around, located about 16 miles NE of Durango. Take Florida Rd (Hwy 240) NE from Durango. It's worth the drive! Once you enter the campground, the parking area is on the left. The trail head is also there at the parking area.

This is a beautiful, short hike around the campground. The cache is located only about a 1/4 mile up the trail. If you would like more hiking there are miles and miles more ahead
through some of the most beautiful country you'll ever see.

Please tread lightly. The environment is fragile.

Bring a sack lunch and hang out by the river. Also a great place for your dogs (leashed).

The cache is a standard ammo box with all sorts of great treasures inside. I think you're going to really like this one.
