This cache is located on a hill in Kelowna, BC named Mine Hill which will give you very nice views of the central Okanagan valley. The cache itself is a short walk from the parking area and can be easily reached by young children. The view can be enjoyed by all. In the winter, it may be a little more difficult if there is snow. Also, if you choose not to follow the instructions below, the terrain difficulty will increase.
For this cache, drive up the Toovey Rd area and park at N 49 52.867 and W 119 21.822 by the mailboxes or find the dirt road connection further up the street. Look north towards the power lines and you should see a trail. This trail heads north a short distance then takes you uphill to the cache. If you choose not to follow the path, watch out for burr bushes. It is meant to be a family cache where you can take your young kids along. My son, who was 4 years old at the time we made this cache, helped make this cache and since he likes cars and trucks, the cache has a "Things that Go" theme. You are looking for a green ammo box and it contains hot wheel cars, trucks, boats, planes etc. There are other items to trade if you do not have a "thing that goes" to trade. If you do not wish to trade, just enjoy the view. If you wish to climb to the top, we have placed another cache up there called "Riches are Mine". The view from there is spectacular but just a little harder to get to. There are three caches in the area now. It can be made into a loop and done in less than an hour and a half but be careful of some private property on the south side area and some continuing development.
