This cache is set part way along the old road into Glen
Clova from Glen Moy. The track can be seen on many old maps
.
Typical of many old tracks, this road stayed high up the glen to
help with drainage. Presumably this road would have been very well
used by drovers due to its proximity to Cullow Market only a couple
of miles down the glen.
To reach the cache, park at the Gella Bridge car park and walk a
short distance back down the road until you see the green Right of
Way sign. The track skirts round the back of the farm buildings on
the way up.
From the cache site there are great views looking up Glen Clova
and the River South Esk meandering through the landscape. You can
continue on from this cache and walk further along the old road to
GC14VER Scott-Moy
You MAY need to walk through a cow field.
Please don't park at the end of the track as it is used for farm
access.
Cache is a 1.5 litre lock and lock
