A quick nano in a small park tucked between fast food places in bustling downtown LaPine, Oregon.
I used to see big 18 wheelers parked on the side of HWY 97 in front of this park, their drivers sitting at one of the picnic tables chowing down a sandwich from the near by Subway or the near by burger joint which is now a McD's. That was before two large truck stops were constructed near by. Since then, this poor park gets few visitors and many long time locals that drive by daily don't even know it's there.
It is poor and neglected now, the hand off from BLM to local control has never taken place, so no one cares for it. Sigh.
So, in honor of it's silent service to the community and travelers, I've tucked a nano away for you to find. If, like me, you have arthritic hands and signing the log in these nano's is more than you can handle, I consider it a find if you can touch it. Just say so, it's not a biggie. If you enjoy the challenge of signing the log, bring Your Own Pen and the canister is easiest to close if you put the log in the lid.
