FeatherB: Apparently the campground will be doing some construction and they don't want to worry about the cache.

Geocache Description:

Small lock and lock container in campground on the Little Deschutes River.

The campground opens Memorial Day. Until then, you can go under the gate and walk the trail or if you prefer, the road. April 2011, all was well. When the camp host shows up, say hi and let them know you are a geo cacher. They should know, but, some times people forget to pass on information and the 2010 host didn't know what was going on and thought it was a drug drop. YIKES!

Rosland Campground has been used since 1827. It was operated by the U.S. Forest Service for many decades but was traded to Crown Pacific a few years ago who then donated it to LaPine Parks and Rec.

LaPine Parks and Rec. have just received permanent funding which has allowed them to reopen this campground for both camping and day use.

This is a classic hide that should not offer too much of a challenge. As clean up and projects progress in the campground, I may have to move it sightly. The campground will be open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
