This cache is near the south end of the J. Manley Robins trail. The location requires a small uphill walk on a well maintained trail. Take time to enjoy the the rest of the trail that has some benches and a scenic turnout for relaxing and/or enjoying a snack.
Maintained by the Montour Area Recreation Commission (visit link) , the J. Manley Robbins trail is reported to be the oldest "rails to trails" recreational facility in the country.
You probably won't see any "tycoons, boneshakers or rebels" along the trail, and you won't need to pay a "membership" or "display your badge" to use the trail (although contributions to the commission's are always cheerfully accepted at their website). You will enjoy lovely views of the hillside, stream and probably even some wildlife while you hike along a very level trail accessible to children of all ages (you know what I mean).
Many thanks to the Montour County Recreation Commission for allowing me to create this find. The park is supposedly open only dawn to dusk, but respectful usage after hours doesn't seem to be discouraged.
Once again, congratulations to team erdinger for the first time find. Are these folks listening in on my internet connection??? That's 3 FTFs in a row for them on my new caches. Wow, this one took them a whole 7 minutes... ;-)
