Geocache Description:

The crews from the old Wacky Races cartoon series have got lost in a race and ended up around Ashurst Beacon. As usual Dick Dastardly and Muttley in Car 00 have set off on their own and gotten themselves into a real fix.

It is a walk of around 6.5 miles on footpaths and quiet lanes.
The codes for the final cache are stuck in the lids and written on each logbook.

There is a small reward in the cache for the first to find

Wacky Races was an old Hanna Barbara cartoon show introduced in 1968. It was based loosely around the film The Great Race. The show consisted of 11 crews competing across the American countryside to claim first place in a series of races. All the crews had their own special abilities to enable them to gain an advantage.

Dastardly and Muttley spent most of their time trying to stop everyone else winning and never actually won a race themselves even though time and again their car was shown to be the quickest.

Car 00
The Evil Dick Dastardly and his sidekick Muttley in the Mean Machine. This car was rocket powered and had loads of hidden gadgets and weapons. It could also fly. Even with all these aids the car was a failure in every race. Dastardly very often hit Muttley over the head with an incredibly long strechy arm.
