No response from cache owner.

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

When repairs to this cache are completed, and it is time to have it listed once again it will be no problem as long as it still meets the guidelines. Just drop me a note( by email at Mongo@geocachingadmin.com) and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link of your cache.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and I am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Geocache Description:

Take time out to visit one of Cape's beautiful parks. Cape Girardeau County - South Park is located just off I-55 (exit # 99) adjacent to Memorial Park on the west side of U.S. 61 across from the county's North Park and Nature Center, just north of Cape Girardeau, Mo. It can only be reached from southbound U.S. 61.

ONCE YOU REACH THE COORDINATES, HEAD TO THE TRAIL JUST AHEAD OF YOU, MAKING THE FIRST LEFT.

IT IS THERE THAT YOU WILL BEGIN TO LOCATE THE PLACARDS THAT HAVE THE ANSWERS TO THE CLUES FOR THE CACHE COORDINATES!

THIS IS A LARGER MICRO THAT HOLDS A PEN. PLEASE REPLACE THE CACHE EXACTLY AS YOU FOUND IT.

BE PREPARED TO GET YOUR FEET A LIL' MUDDY OR WET IF THE CREEK HAS BEEN OR IS UP!!

BELOW ARE THE CLUES TO GET THE CACHE COORDS:

N37° 20.ABC

A = Rhymes with YOU

B = Number of letters in the FOURTH word located on the placard about the Eastern Red Cedar Tree.

C = Number of letters in the FIRST word of the scientific name of the Eastern Red Cedar Tree.

W089° 35.DEF

D = Add 1 to the second digit of how tall the Tulip Tree can grow.

E = Nmber of letters in the first name of the tree on the first placard to the left on the trail.

F = The scientific name for a Tulip Tree is Liriodendron ______________. Find how many letters are in the missing word, then subtract 3 from that number (of letters) for “F”.

(There are at least 3 other cache’s in the area of Down by the Creek Part Dux, so take the time to find them as well if you haven’t yet!)

NOTE: The South Park may be closed to traffic during winter snow and icy conditions.
