A traditional cache in the Eastern Ontario village of South Mountain
This cache was set up as an example of a traditional cache in the woods for the second "GeoCaching for Families" event put on by me at the South Mountain Library on June 13, 2009. It is a camouflaged 1½ litre mayonnaise jar.
This cache is located near the new South Mountain library building that is under construction at the time of placement of the cache. This building is the result of years of dedicated work by the Friends of The South Mountain Library, a massive community fund raising drive and relentless lobbying of township council.
If you are here when the library is open, stop in and say hi to our friendly librarians and let them know you are geocaching. They know all about it.
