Mill Creek Wildlife Traditional Cache
Trackit-Cacheit: Container keeps going missing. Will leave this site/area alone for the time being. Pretty sure local kids/children are muggling. Will re-establish at a later date.

This area has many natural springs that flow over 2 million gallons of water each day into Mill Creek and the Onion River. For many years it was known as the Silver Springs trout ponds. In 1999 the land was purchased by the State and through a joint effort from sportsmen groups, Boy Scout Troop 851 and the DNR, the ponds were removed and the land was restored to its natural state with the exception of two foot bridges so you can walk the area and enjoy the marvels of nature. See how many of the springs you can find. You are looking for a small, round, 3" diameter camo tube. In spring & early summer you may see turtles or other reptiles sunning themselves, try not to disturb them. Depending on the time of year you may need to bring bug spray along. Also, during hunting season you may want to wear orange to be on the safe side.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted and approved by Jason Quast of the Wisconsin DNR.
