Geocache Description:

This is a high level Right of Way route on good tracks between Auchinner, Glen Artney and Braeleny, Callander. The route gives superb views of the surrounding hills and the dramatic mountains Ben Vorlich and Stuc a Chroin.

The whole walk has been described from Glen Artney but there is no reason why this should not be the start point and if you walk in from Braeleny Farm, it is just under 2miles to Arivurichardich.

Dogs should be strictly kept on a lead because of sheep.

Please be aware of prevailing conditions as the route is 14km one way. The tracks are passable on mountain bikes. Be aware of the conditions on the hills and your fitness level. Allow adequate time to complete your chosen route, ensuring you have appropriate clothing, food, drinks and maps with you. Please make sure someone is aware of your route and the approximate time you are due back.

There are many small burns to cross which may present difficulties after prolonged rain.

The bridge at Arivurichadich washed away in the 2004 floods. It is now necessary to either cross the river or go higher to easily cross the 2 feeder burns to carry on towards Callander.

If you are doing the walk one way, you will need to arrange transport to the end.
