Plassey Bridge a.k.a. Black Bridge
2010.04.11 - Although the bridge is closed, the
cache is accessible! The cache was concealed by
barriers, but I managed to retrieve it and place it within inches
of its original location. It can be found from the North bank of
the river. If approaching from GC1T890 - 'Limerick Bridges - Fancy a pint?'
you will have to travel further and cross by the new bridge.
Near the ruins of an old mill, The bridge and mill ruins nearby
date to 1824.
Parking can be found around the University, please observe any
local restrictions. Consider the healthy option as I did and
walk/cycle the river path from Limerick. It really is an enjoyable
walk. A waypoint is included for free parking.
Cache is a very small lunchbox with space for small items only.
You do not have to leave the bridge to find this cache.
