Geocache Description:

Pretty walk and fabulous views of Canaston and Minwear woods. The terrain is fairly easy, but can be muddy in wet weather. Slight incline from whatever direction you approach.

The prettiest walk is to park in the lay-by just beyond Canaston bridge ( N51 47.950 W 004 48.139) on the A 4075 to Carew . Walk up the road that goes to Blackpool Mill and in 0.3 miles there is a wooden fence and telegraph pole on the right, follow the footpath. This is the Leat Walk that goes to Blackpool Mill, passing by the Eastern Cleddau and giving great river views. At Blackpool Mill follow the path to the right of the Mill (Slebech Estate- this is a private drive for vehicles but part of the public right of way). The river views from Blackpool Bridge are great and sometimes otter and Kingfisher might be seen. The cache is about 0.5 miles further, and the walk is more than worth the effort.
