Located on the Little Falls trail in the North River Picnic Park. A favorite flyfishing spot of ours. Please "keep it wild" and CITO.
Parking coordinates for the picnic park are N46*19.097' W060* 39.739'. The park is gaited after dark and in winter, however there is parking near the gait. Take the Little Falls trail on the left side of the park. At about 90m, the trail branches--keep to the right to avoid going down the gorge to MacKenzie's Pool. Proper foot wear is advised as the trail can be mucky and studded with windfalls and tree roots. At N46*18.966' W060*40.089' the trail doubles back to MacKenzie's Pool--keep going straight here, following the river. Cache is a short bushwhack off the trail near one of our favorite fishing spots, Little Falls. Bring a picnic lunch, and if the fish aren't biting, a dip is always nice!
Cache is winter friendly, but the trail may need snow shoes in winter. Cache is a small Lock 'N Lock, which at the time of hiding contained a log, pair of socks (I always bring extra socks when fishing!), eye glasses repair kit, and a FTF prize--a hand tied fly.
CONGRATULATIONS TO BEAN & CO! First to Find!!
