This cache (1.3 L lock n lock type) is located on the Granite Bay horse trail in the Folsom Lake SRA. You only will need to take a step or two off of the trail to grab it. The cache is in the dark so please look for creepy crawlers before you grab!
This cache is dedicated to my trusty, sorrel AQHA mare Harriet. She was born, bred and trained on a working cattle ranch in Siskiyou County, she was originally trained to be a reined cow horse but was just too darn slow! Lucky for me, slow and careful are perfect traits for a geocaching horse! Before becoming cachers we competed in a few gymkhanas and more than a few CSHA Trail Trials together, but none of these activites seemed to be a perfect fit. Leisurely strolls looking for little boxes in the woods are what suit our fancy now! Hazelbell and I placed three caches at Folsom Lake today, one for each caching horse, maybe go for the trifecta!
Thanks for finding Harriet's cache and if you see some horses on the trail, look closely because they might just be cachers too!
