Geocache Description:

Two graves of early pioneers right next to the Mullan Road. Often overlooked, now have outlines around the graves to show them up. One of them says Child in very crude chisel marks. Bring a piece of paper and a marker or charcoal to do a rubbing of the stone for extra bonus!

There are more than two graves here, just that there is only two markers remaining. One of the graves (closest to the road) bears the name GILES. This was the daughter of a family living beside the Mullan Road and she died after eating some home canned beans. The other is marked McMANAMON CHILD. According to Frances McManamon Ottomeier of Fillmore, CA, this might be a child of her cousin, Chester McManamon and his wife Maud (VanMarter). Could be about 1920.
