The Finnish settlers made this the hub of their world. Savo, also at one time had a creamery, a post office and a store. In 1901 the Finn.'s establised the first legally incorporated co-op in the area. Their prize winning butter from the co-op creamery had a reputation for being superior and won many fair prizes. In 1910 they organized the Savo Farmers Telephone Company. Many Weddings and dances where held here. Enjoy your visit to our little church and hall on the prairie.

The Finnish people are known for their love of a nice hot Sauna even in the dead of winter.
