Rabbit Point Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache-tech: I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future. If you do not plan on replacing/repairing your cache, please CITO any remains returning the site to the original state before you placed your cache.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

Point Michuad (near st peter's), Cape Breton.
Easy Beach Hike to the Rocky Point of Point Michuad

Drive to Point Michuad PP and park in the parking lot.
Walk the beach to the point.
If You Watch the Tide forcast and arrive during low tide you can shave a km off the hike by taking the sandbar.
There is also a 4X4 trail that leads from the right turn before the PP parking entrance. Trail leads to with 20 ft of cache and is what you will follow when you run outta beach
Hike is roughly 5km return.

The Cache name comes from the over 20+ Bunnies we saw out at the point.

This is also my first Cache. So any feedback would be great!

Cache is a fairly large container.
Some of the trading Items inside cache when placed include fossils, sand dollars, hat, small stuffed dog,
Cache is accessible from small beach and not the path.

Bring suitable clothing. Winds can be high and weather can change from Sunny&calm to Stormy&windy inless time then it takes to hike the trail return.

Point Michuad is one of my Favorite beaches on Cape Breton.
+3km sandy beach with shallow waters. Great for surfing, kite surfing. There is usually someone renting surf boards and wet suits in the summer months.
Small tenting sites can be found off the 4x4 trail. If you do intend on spending the night. Please leave it better then when you arrived. No wood for fires so bring your own.
Preferred summer nights should have a nice breeze to avoid the bugs which can be pretty bad.
